Case Study 1: Management Development Programme

West Nottinghamshire College - Further Education

I have worked with a number of Further and Higher Education organisations and have been engaged by West Nottinghamshire College in Mansfield to help them design and deliver their four-day bespoke "Rising Stars" Management and Leadership Development package.

 

The People Development Manager Sara Arnold said, “Phil has been instrumental in the success of our Rising Stars internal talent programme; from the outset, his main aim was to understand what we are looking to achieve, and worked with us to create an exciting bespoke offer to meet the needs of both the organisation and individuals.

 

We are now on our second cohort and we have witnessed a very positive impact from the training that Phil has delivered amongst our first group – 5 of whom have already been successful in obtaining management positions. Case Study 2: Personal Resilience and Stress Management

Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce - Business Support

Working in partnership with the local Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, I formed part of the Resilience and Wellbeing hub which offered support and consultancy services to all types of organisation across Lincolnshire.

 

I was also commissioned to deliver a series of two hour online workshops focussed on specific subjects and areas of need for their membership base.

 

The session topics included Communication Skills and how to Manage Difficult Conversations, Developing Your Personal and Professional Resilience Levels and Recognising, Understanding and Managing Stress.

The sessions were delivered remotely using Zoom and well received by all those who attended.

 

Business and Development Manager Fran East said; “Phil is a great presenter, all his workshops delivered through the Lincolnshire Chamber were engaging and informative and audience feedback was always amazing.”

Case Study 3: Management & Leadership Development

Lincolnshire County Council - Audit and Risk Management

 

I was commissioned by Lucy Pledge, Head of Corporate Audit and Risk Management to design and deliver a bespoke training package to support and enhance the managerial skills of the senior management team leaders. Due to the restrictions on face-to-face interaction this programme was translated into online half day modules delivered via Zoom over an 8 week period.

After the delivery programme was completed, Lucy commented on notable changes in attitude and behaviour across the senior team which were then cascaded down to first line managers in the department.

 

Emma Bee, Audit Team Leader said, “I really enjoyed Phil’s course, it was interesting but not patronising. Sometimes we refreshed existing knowledge and sometimes we worked on new topics but Phil always gave us something to think about and helped us to translate this into our working practice.

 

It really made a difference to how we think and act both as a team and as managers of our individual departments.”

Case Study 4: Various Learning and Development Services

 

Kisimul Ltd - Social Care Children and Adults sector

I have worked with Kisimul for a number of years designing and delivering a range of bespoke developmental services including their Management and Leadership Development modules, Coaching and Mentoring courses, Training Delivery Skills and Personal Resilience and Stress Management workshops.

 

I have also facilitated team days, working groups, train the trainer courses and delivered a range of 1to1 support services to key personel within their organisation at sites across the UK.

 

I have worked with the frontline care delivery staff, support functions, HR and finance teams and all tiers of management and leadership positions within the comapany.
